Day to Read
Have you read today? Don’t forget that today is Soccer Mom in Denial‘s appointed Day to Read. I’m planning on getting a few chapters finished from the book on my nightstand right now, Boy: Tales of Childhood by Roald Dahl and after that I might do the next chapter of my go between book, The Solitude of Thomas Cave by Georgina Harding (I like to have a book at home and one I take with me to read if I get free time throughout the day)as well.
But before you drop everything and pick up your book, go visit Jientje at her blog Heaven in Belgium. I seem to have a little featurette over there that I just stumbled upon. So go on over and check her out. She’s one of those 365 dayers and they are crazy and need our support. Thanks Jientje and good luck with the blogging.
Oh and in case you were wondering (don’t think I don’t know that you are on the edge of your seat when it comes to what I eat), Quorn is good! I thought it was going to be a bit squishy and spongy like tofu, but it’s not at all. It actually has (and maintains)pretty much the same texture as chicken only without skin, gristle, fat and the other nastiness that comes along with meat (and no I’m not a vegeterian but meat in its rawest form just grosses me out). So go see if the freezer section of your grocery store has some in stock, you may be very pleased with the myco-protein.

Thank you Korie! You made my blogging girlfriend happy it seems.
Jientje is a very nice person. We met each other a few weeks ago in Antwerpen; I called it a ‘blind date’… We didn’t know each other before blogging !!
I give my kids quorn nuggets and they love them!!
and I’m going to read a book called the faith club.
sounds like you might like it too…..
can i find quorn in the us???
Jientje- Yes, anyone who chooses to post every day for a year is definitely crazy. Not in a bad way, but in a “I don’t need to eat or sleep” way. But still, you have my support!
Lucrece-It’s been interesting reading blogs of other people who have moved to this area as well as some people who already live here. I hope mine interests them as well.
Candace-The Faith Club…I’ll look it up, I just finished the Roald Dahl book.
Anonymous- I believe Quorn should be available, probably in supermarkets with large organic/vegetarian selections. You’ll fins it in the freezer section.
