Admittedly, I haven’t read this book, (or any book all the way through in the last 4 years? and children’s books don’t count) but it IS the closest book handy: “Fingersmith” bye Sarah Waters.

“I thought of what I would do, if a man like Gentleman liked me. I thought perhaps I ought to take her aside and tell her, as one girl to another. Then I thought she might think me rude. –Which is pretty rum, in light of what happened later.”

Okay okay.. that is 4 sentences.. but I couldn’t leave off that last one, since it finished up that “paragraph” hahah

Mom-memes don’t usually have a point, they fill the gaping maw of empty space in the text editor of bloggers who haven’t got anything more worthwhile to post.
Holly-Thank you for sparing me the pain of having to reread ANY part of Pride and Prejudice. I’m a much greater fan of Crime and Punishment, y’know, whips and chains and all that stuff. And NICE one-upmanship! I’d do the same but I’d be afraid of burning my bits.
