Lilac Colored Glasses

I had my podcast debut on Camikaos‘ Strange Love this morning around 7:30 am.  It was a lot of fun and I had a good time talking to Cami and Mr. Kaos.  I’m not sure when it will be up and working considering that we ended at 9 am my time, which was midnight for the Kaoses (Kaosii?) but if you swing by Cami’s blog in the next day or two I imagine you’ll find it (this means you, Mom).  Besides the one time CB got up and slammed the bedroom door (I got a bit loud, I confess), everything went very smoothly, although I don’t know if I was as funny as Dapoppins commanded me to be.  I’m thinking the rest of the day will be sort of anti-climactic, at least until 4ish when we go to CB’s friends’ house for a birthday party.

I’ve only met two of CB’s friends until now and they are very nice and fun to talk to (they’re a married couple…it’s so weird being part of the whole “they” culture of coupledom), but I admit, I’m nervous to go to a gathering full of people.  I want to make a good impression.  I mean, it’s not as big a deal as meeting members of CB’s family but still, these are friends he’s had for several years and that’s important too.  I’m probably working myself into a nervous titter about nothing, I know, but they don’t call it “generalized anxiety disorder” for nothing right?
