Lilac Colored Glasses

Maybe you’ve noticed that I’ve picked up a few new readers/regular commentors lately? I definitely owe some of my new visitors to the loveliness that is Plurk. Thanks to Plurk I’ve managed to meet and get a bit friendlier with some very talented and entertaining bloggers as well as keep in touch with some of my other bloggy friends in a more active and engaging way. I’ve added several blogs to my Google Reader and at some point (hopefully once my final for level 4 is over and my head can go for more than 20 minutes without internally combusting and falling off) I plan on updating that pesky Blogroll over there on the sidebar.

There is one blogger that I have begun reading who I did not network with via Plurk. In fact, I don’t even remember quite how I found her blog, only that I did it the old fashioned way: surfing along through other blogrolls and comments on blogs I already read and voila, that’s how I stumbled upon the ray of sunshine *snort* that is Memarie Lane.

Marie was quickly added to my Google Reader and I look forward to seeing a post of hers appear on my Reader. “Why this shameless plug?” you may wonder. Well, Marie moved her site recently and her technorati and other various blog traffic stuff has dropped off as a result. When I moved in February I had a similar issue and it’s a pain, having to redirect everything and rebuild your technorati score and what not (that’s a lie, CB took care of most of it…but he looked annoyed while he did it so I’ll assume that technorati was the pain…heh) so when Marie decided to have a contest to help her technorati numbers I figured why not. Even if I’m ineligible for some of the prizes, I can still be pissy selfless and put a cute Memarie Lane button in my sidebar and then blog about Marie and advise you all to go check her out. So, what are you waiting for?
