Lilac Colored Glasses

There’s a meme going around and unlike most memes, this is apparently a UU, but I think that looks like droopy boobs so I’ll spell it out: a youyou. For this youyou bloggers were to ask their significant human/animal/vegetable/mineral to give them 3 things they know about aforementioned blogger. Well, since the local gravel is outside and it’s raining, I decided not to ask it what it knows about me. We’ve eaten all the vegetables so they were out too. Rex and Luna are in a kennel for the next 6 days so they aren’t much help, which means I had to defer to my Cabana Boy. So I sent him an instant message that read something like this:

Here is what I received from my wonderful, loving boyfriend who imported me from across the Atlantic to be with him:

1. you think the core relationship is about replacing ‘the roll’ in time (this is a story for another post…perhaps a flashback friday)
2. you’re a home pooper (this is very true…can’t poop in a toilet other than my own and keep a box of this for going on vacations)
3. you’re anally retentive about farts (this is also very true…I can’t fart if I know someone might hear it… on last summer’s return journey from Belgium I had some sort of stomach problem on the plane and sat in agony for hours, unable to relieve myself in the little toilet. When I finally got to the airport in Detroit I literally had to plug my own ears to get over the embarassment of the sounds escaping my butt…really, I will never fart in front of a conscious human being unless I have amoebic dysentary)

I offered the opportunity to redeem himself by giving me three more good things, but alas, perhaps he thought I wouldn’t publish these (apparently one thing he doesn’t know about me is that, when it comes to blogging I have very little shame) or perhaps the strain was just too great but he failed to provide me with more pleasant alternatives.  And because I’m nothing if not true to my readers and my memes/youyous, I’ve decided to just go ahead and hit publish rather than bother him with it again.
