Haiku Friday – The Joy of Getting Stuff

Small treasures from friends
I received many this week
Let me show you them…

A postcard came first
Jenn’s Croatian holiday
Thanks for the greeting!

Next was a package
From that crazy gal in Wales
What could be inside?

Kung Fu Panda toys!
Fresh from someone’s Happy Meal!
Thanks to Holly’s kids.*

Then I got this bling
Straight from the wonderful Jen
A much needed hug.

All these things brought me
Happiness and lots of smiles
I’m glad to have friends.

*Apparently Holly’s daughter Queen of Hearts gave me her very own Kung Fu Panda.  The other two came wrapped but apparently Holly stole toys from her child for me QOH was feeling very generous that day.

And also I have to send the bear hug along to 5 other bloggers so:
The Pittsburgh Deli- This is my mom’s blog and she definitely deserves some bling and also a hug for being such a great mom.
Cafe Leone – I started reading Dan’s blog back when cre8buzz was all the rage.  He’s going through a very tought time with his father being very ill.  He needs some extra hugs.
Heaven in Belgium – Jientje has been constantly supporting me since she came to visit me from a link on Cabanamom’s blog.  She’s a lovely sweet person.
Novembrance – Louisa is an amazing writer.  She had a baby back in May and has been on hiatus.  I miss her writing though and I can’t wait for her to be back.
Holly – The woman stole from her children for me sent me toys and a Joni Mitchell lyrics booklet, need I say more?
