Most of these phots came from a walk through the Patershol area of Gent during the Patershol Feest. It’s a chic, restaurant part of town now, although in Medievel times it was where the monks lived. Patershol literally means “Monk’s Hole” although a lot of people take that to mean the hole of the ass kind. Cause everyone loves dining in the Pater’s poopshoot right?

I love stuff that looks a bit gnarled and old. There is beauty in the textures and the colour and the mystery of it. Brilliant pics.
excellent collection. my favorite is the leaning tree that almost had the same angle as the building in the background.
Reflection and Wisteria are my faves…man , I hope I get to see some of this stuff (albeit not as green) when I get there in November!
I’ve found it interesting in older cities to look about at tall buildings, above the first floor storefronts. I always see interesting symbols and carvings and such that show the building’s original purpose.
Europe has so many very pretty towns and cities… makes me want to save up and travel again! Great photos

I just read your comment on another blog about walking in on your nekkid mom! Too funny and I had to ask what your mom was doing with the cable box that required her to be nekkid. After visiting your blog, I’m wondering if it’s a Eurpoean thing. I mean they’re always nakey over there anyway. I think its all of that heat and humidity, they just came seem to stay dressed or sober! Ok, now I forget what my point was… Must be too many fruit loops tonight.
