Haiku Friday – Moments in Time

Seconds of stillness
Hang like whispy spider webs
Fragile in the air.

The lull by the tracks
Followed by metal thunder
Ushering me home.

Aching memories
Creep into my week-worn mind
Prickling tears break through.

Safe and warm I sink
Asleep next to my beloved
His kiss is too late.

Morning rouses me
With cool air and cat kisses
Time to start again.

I’m going to take my final. You can go to A Mommy Story for more haiku goodness.
