Haiku Buckaroo

It’s time again for Haiku Buckaroo, hosted over at My Mommy’s Place. I love Leslie and her blog. I can relate to so much of what Leslie discusses and how can I not adore someone who seems to understand and know every obscure reference I ever make? Anyway, I actually first started reading over there during the last Haiku Buckaroo (I submitted a Skin Pee Haiku) and I’ve been reading ever since.  If you feel up to the challenge or even if you want to read other people’s haikus, feel free to head on over to Leslie’s blog and check it out. As for me, since I’ve had such a huge inspiration drought lately I think you’ll be seeing several haikus in the coming days (except of course for Fridays which are still entirely devoted to penii). Here’s my first round of ‘kus:

On the evil Belgian weather:
Shades of flinty grey
Race madly across the sky
Hiding hopes of sun

On the lard that is quickly reaccumulating on my ass:
Comforting sugar
Adding weight to my body
The cycle repeats

A final update on Rex, aka “Raincat”:
My elder feline
Has finally overcome
His fear of name tags

    Randomly:
-Apparently, some (if not all?) Cantonese people use lard to make their “Chinese tamales.” My family, being Taiwanese, had never heard of this practice. At any rate, glad it’s comforting for you (and perhaps for kitties who might like to curl up there?), although if you feel trapped in the cycle, then I’m wishing you luck in breaking free! I might be participating in some physical activity…at some point…
    -Why is he-who-fears-not-the-tags named Rex?

Love the first one especially, but they all rock, as does Leslie – you’re so right!
