Okay, so after rereading some posts where I shared some examples of Flemish music (or Dutch music), I realized that most of what I am posting tends towards the sensational or hokey, and that’s not really fair. That’s like posting all polka and gangsta rap and saying that was representative of American music. Granted there is a population represented by the music I’ve posted, but it’s not, from what I can tell, the majority population. So here are some examples of other Flemish artists that I’ve heard and liked that aren’t so… genre specific.

Spinvis, a one man music project from a Dutch man in his 40’s. His peak was about 5 years ago, but I really like a lot of his songs.

Flip Kowliers, a West Flemish singer… no I can’t understand a word he says, and chances are a lot of other non-West Flemish people can’t either, but I still like the music.

These are just examples of music in Dutch. There are plenty of really talented Flemish and Dutch musicians, but a lot of them sing in English and I wanted you to hear some music in Dutch.
