From the city of three rivers to the city of three towers, and everywhere in between…

This can’t be a long post…so I’m going to grasp at the brevity that so often eludes me.  You may notice some scarcity in posts for the next week or two.  Why is that? Well, here’s my schedule for the next week:

6 August - double lesson (aren’t I lucky to have the most difficult level in the month when they don’t have enough weekdays for lessons and we have to double up  twice in one week?) This means I’ll leave the house around 8:30 a.m. and get back around 5:00 p.m. All the fun of a full time job but without the salary.

7 August - normal lesson, studying for midterm, preparing oral presentation

8 August - normal lesson, studying for midterm, preparing oral presentation

9 August - most likely studying for the midterm, preparing oral presentation and probably painting trim for the ceiling if I won’t be in CB and Cabanadad’s way.

10 August - Lokerse Feest and Alanis Morisette live! This is the reason I’ll be die hard studying all week because I’ll be out late at a concert and…

11 August - Midterm

12 August - normal lesson, job recruitment thingy in Antwerp (cross your fingers for me)

13 August - Oral presentation

Yeah, so my axons are already starting to misfire and my temper is on a hair trigger.   I want to post but I have no idea if I’ll be able to write much.  Even if I do, I can’t gaurantee it won’t be partially in Dutch cause the lines between the two languages are getting blurry a lot more frequently.
And have I mentioned the three online assignments I have due by the 15th and the text I have to write tonight? On top of the few hundred words to learn for this level and the expressions as well?

Oh and also CB has begun to nurture a love of the outdoors in Luna and now she wants to play in the garden all the time.  Problem is first, neither she nor Rex have vaccinations against other cats and second that Rex can’t go out because he’s never been an outdoor cat and his tag info is outdated so if he did get out people would be trying to all my dead American cell phone number to return him…assuming he didn’t get lost or hit by a car or mauled by another cat.
So my stress level jumped up a few hundred notches when Luna figured out how to knock down the For Sale sign that’s been covering the missing panes of glass on the backdoor in order to go play in the garden.Because then Rex took an intense curiosity in outside and I spent the next 30 minutes playing chase the alternating cats in and out of the kitchen until finally I snatched Luna up, threw her in the closet, shooed Rex out of the kitchen, grabbed Luna and stormed up stairs with her while she wriggled frantically to get away.  I plopped her down in the bedroom and shut the door (she is learning that being shut in the bedroom with a locked catdoor means she was bad).  She cringed and crawled under the bed and I started sobbing because that’s all I do lately (stress related weeping is a lot more frequent since I quit smoking, which, by the way, was ONE YEAR AGO this past July 18th).

Right, so much for brevity.  I have to go and write a text about a newspaper article and then do one of my online texts as well.  Let the hemorrhaging of the neurons begin!
